ALDA Adjustment '87 300D

Unlike the 617 engines, the 603 engine in the '87 300D has its injection pump right below the intake manifold. This makes ALDA adjustments complicated. I've removed my ALDA dust/protection cap previously, but can't locate a tool to get in between the injector lines and manifold to adjust the ALDA screw. Any ideas? I'm not convinced long pliers will move it as the screw does not turn that easily... Almost need a custom screwdriver?

Thanks,
Brian
