Help with identification info.

Hello all, I just did the 5-speed swap on my 85 190D 2.2. The transmission is a 717.411. I realize that this transmission is for the 190E 2.3. I bought an entire kit for the swap. The cross member for the transmission that I received is too wide for this application. My old cross member (from an auto) is 26cm between the mounting holes. The new one I got is 31cm between the holes. The one I need would be 29cm between the holes. Not sure what the one I got is supposed to fit.

I have access to the EPC, but there aren't any notes for the part listings that say whether they are manual or auto. I need a valid VIN for a car that came with a 2.2 and a 5-speed. Does anyone out there have one that I can borrow? Or, does anyone know the part number for the cross member that I need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

OK, might have been premature. I may be answering my own question. I just saw a photo of a swap kit for sale and the cross member has 4 chassis mounting holes instead of just 2. Is that correct?

Yes that's correct.

(I'm just putting a 717.412 into my 190E)

Thanks Stretch. I've ordered part number 201-242-16-01. Hopefully it's the right part.

Exhaust support

Looks like the old exhaust support that bolts to the automatic won't fit. Does anyone know if part # 123-492-32-41 is the one I need? I can buy new, but does anyone have a good used spare?

Thanks for any help.
