Would you buy a diesel specific sticker?

Hi again everyone,
Well, it seems that there is a pretty clear winner in the sticker favorites poll. Now, I would like to know if a) you would by a sticker at marginal cost, and b) if you would like to have two stickers made up just for the hell of it. Thanks for participating.

Alex

For my diesels, I want a sticker that shows two plates squeezing a dinosaur.

High compression, dino fuel engine.

If you intend to buy a sticker, I need to know so please vote. I'm not going to make any assumptions that everyone will buy when they're made available. Also, I need to get an idea of how many I'm going to need to order. Thanks

Question

Is the sticker order a one-time shot?

I'm willing to buy two (of the winner; one for each side), but $$'s tight right now

Any idea what the cost is gonna be? Thanks!

I can't make any promises, but I don't think that it should be more than about $5 for both stickers. That is actually a high guess and it'll probably be less, but that is a reasonable figure. Also, the more people who buy, the less it'll cost. It's relatively expensive to print a small number of anything and that's why I started this poll asking who would buy. I don't want to print a hundred stickers, have only 20 people take them, and be stuck with the rest AND the cost of the rest.

I'm watching this poll until next monday and I really want EVERYONE who uses this forum to vote either yes or no. I'm not doing this poll to decide whether to print them or not. I will print them. I'm doing this so I can gauge how many to print. I think a lot of people who don't want one aren't bothering to vote because they think it's only people who want one that should vote. If they don't, it's going to create a situation where say 20 people will vote "yes" so I'll print 20 or 30 stickers and people who didn't vote will e-mail me for one and I'll run out before those who did vote get one. Make sense? Anyway everyone should vote. Sorry to be so anal.

Vote vote vote

Bill, I hadn't thought of that. Hmmm........ well if anyone thinks they're going to buy more than 3, please post here or e-mail me so I may start taking a count. Thanks

Hey Alex,
Which one was the overwhelming favorite? I wasn't on the forum last week, but for whatever it's worth my fave is #4. I would be interested in one type of sticker and I would be good for at least 6.
Thanks for your effort,

How big is the proposed sticker (i.e. 4" square, 1 foot square), and where would you stick it ? Bumper, trunk lid, rear window, etc.

I like the design, but I am pretty conservative about stickers on my cars.

Thanks.

Frankly,
I also am pretty conservative about stickers on my car. Since I'm the one getting the stickers printed, I'm going to use my executive powers to say no bumper stickers. Ideally I'd like 3 or 4 inch square, round, rectangular, etc. stickers to put in windows. I'll try to get them with clear backgrounds.

Alex, That's exactly what I had in mind: a not-too-big 4" square (or round) clear window decal (printed backwards for interior mounting).

I was also envisioning it to be in shades of grey with black and white highlights (to get the feeling of depth the logo portrays as well have it read better against a clear background). Could this be a problem with the printers capabilities and/or cost?

Also, how expensive would it be to do static decals? And you can put me down for about 6, maybe 8.

Mike

Mike,
I too would prefer static stickers and I will look into that and let you know.

Bob,
$5 is an extremely high estimate. At the quantity that I'm apparently looking at, large bumper stickers would be about $2 or so a piece. Small stickers I think would be less. I just put down $5 because I didn't want anyone to be really shocked. When we finalize everything and when I'm ready to have them printed, I'll do thorough research to get everyone good prices ok?

Alex

I'd like 5 stickers. I know I'll have many more diesels to come...

DieselHead, Have you considered using PayPal to get everyone to pay for the stickers. It's free and I think there a mass payment option, where you register, fill out a form, and address it to all the people who want stickers. Then the recipients of the email simply use their paypal account, or a credit card.

If you think this is a good idea, check out www.paypal.com.

Thanks for all your work on this!
