83 300SD Driver door Window regulator removal
I have searched as best I can but can't find a procedure step by step to get the regulator out of the driver door on my 1983 300SD. My motor is not working and the window is closed. any help would be appreciated. I tried to just remove the motor bolts and pull it apart but I may have made a big mistake there.

Just did the job on an 84 126. was easy. It's good the window is up. Place couple of wood or plastic wedges in the top inside of the door to hold the window up. Undo four screws and remove the regulator.

I undid the obvious 4 nuts from the bolts holding the regulator(no screws). and not anything changed and got loose. I tapped on the bolts sticking through the inside door frame and no dice. Still rock solid. There must be some more things to undo maybe up hiding inside along the bottom of the window

Maybe these pages from the FSM will help: http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12253/program/Chassis/72-185.pdf
It appears that a screw need to be removed from the lifting rail.
