These school buses ready to roll out looked like a an emergency from 2000ft.

Awe, the 606 is plenty torquey, and besides, I'll be going south, downhill the whole way.

Leaving from RI, I would head west on US 6 till you get to 84 in Hartford, Then 84 west to 81 south. It adds a few miles but a lot better than the Tappan Zee. I am working in NE CT right now, that is how I come back to Lancaster Pa.

The Tappen Zee Bridge is just too un predictable.

Yeah, I saw that route too. It adds about an hour. I will make that the route of choice and go over it one last time with Shertex before I head out.

I dunno, I could see that getting towed by a plane would increase the mileage... assuming that the plane is going in the same direction.

Thayer, I'm rooting for you to do it on one tank!

you'll definitely enjoy the drive on the highway - that engine loves to rev and it sits at 3000 rpm at 70 mph - right at the sweet spot. And a 124 on the highway is like a duck in water.

He went US 6 to Hartford.....84 to 81....didn't want to contend with the Tappan Zee.

He left with fluids topped off and a smile on his face....will be interesting to see how he makes out.

If we had been more creative, we could have provided authentic New England fare....as it is, he got spaghetti and salad.

So long as the rear suspension is in good condition. Otherwise its more like a flounder.

My wagon was suffering from this condition. Hopefully Vstech and I can turn it into a duck this week finally.
