ALDA Rebuild Kit - Parts?

After chasing a leak on my 91 300D (OM 602) the cause turned out to be the ALDA. After removing and disassembling it's clear that the seal in the threaded base is leaking.

My unit is the same part # as shown in this ebay ad .

The green seal in the below photo is leaking on mine.

The ebay ad has expired, the seller is in Australia and I'm in the USA. So I'm looking for an alternative to hoping the seller has a kit left and waiting 2 - 3 weeks for it to arrive.

Any suggestions?

What sort of leak are you chasing? The ALDA is a pressure device that runs off of boost pressure.

Just saw your other thread, the ALDA cannot leak fuel, as it doesn't hold any fuel.... Are you sure one of your delivery valves isn't leaking and spraying the area making it look like something else is leaking?

On my 91 300D I had a leak coming from one of the metal fuel lines that ran to the injector. Put diesel all over the injection pump area. Didn't realize it was from a fuel line until I look up under the manifold.

dude99: The ALDA was wet inside with what looked like motor oil. After reviewing how it works I think the bad ALDA gasket allowed oil to be pushed in from the intake (think blow-by).

shertex: Check your PM

JamesDean: That's a good point! This is a tricky one to locate because the intake manifold hampers visibility.

I always appreciate all the ideas and feedback from the forum, thanks to everyone!

You can measure seal thickness, inner and outer diameter and order one if a standard seal will fit. Measure in inches or mm depending on application.

Parts stores used to have rolls of oring material that could be cut to length then ends glued together. I haven't seen that fr a while.
