350SDL Exhaust: Where to buy?

Anyone have any ideas about where I can buy an exhaust for my 350SDL (At this point everything below the down pipe needs to be replaced)

Also longshot which I doubt but I should ask to be safe....by chance is the 300SEL exhaust the same?

not likely the same. If wanting a stock like configuration I would look at an aftermarket such as abarth which I am sure is sold here.

I have also used local shops to custom bend pipes with decent success.

The abarth will last a couple of decades though and the custom one will probalby only last a few years.

X2 on a custom system. There's a lot of these shops springing up in the last few years. You should be able to get competitive pricing...

I had to replace mine from the center back. A custom shop did the whole thing (including where the cat USED to be) with a muffler for $175

I got the center and rear from XXXX earlier this year for my 300SDL. Came to my house shipped freight directly from Germany in a large Mercedes box. I think both parts together shipped were around $700. Took about 3 weeks. Direct bolt on, will last me another 25 years.

I have one piece that is unobtainium. I got sent two pieces of one of the main pipes by mistake.
I have an entirely new exhaust on mine, so I need nothoing for a long while.

PM me and we can talk.
I just want what I paid, more or less and the shipping, or you can pick up in Mich

So I'll bump this thread with an update to my car.

I had a local exhaust shop make a new system for my car. I had a Thrush welded muffler installed, with no resinator. 350s do not have a cat. This replaced something I had put on in a time crunch... a cheepie muffler from Auzone that restricted to probably 1 1/4" inside.

Overall I'm thrilled. It's not loud, yet audible. If you listen close you can hear the turbo

You should have seen all the soot that blew out of the tailpipe the first time I took off I'm going to cut the crappy muffler apart and see how loaded up it is inside.
