WMO in my fuel tank?

So I sent greazzer my 190 injectors and he sent me an email telling me that if I burn WMO I need to filter it better. I respond confused because I only burn diesel. He told me they looked and smelled of WMO and had some grittiness to it. I just did a compression test and a coolant system test and both checked out so the head gasket should be fine. Furthermore, all five of them were this way. I also replaced the spin on filter, but I have not done the primary yet. I will definitely change the primary filter before installing my new injectors. Like I said, I only use diesel and have filled the car twice. Last time I filled it I put in about a quart of ATF for lubrication. Would you suggest draining the tank? I do not want to contaminant my new injectors.

Thanks!

Did the previous owner run WMO?
You really have no way of knowing what a PO has done.
As far as dropping the fuel tank, I would not do it unless the primary fuel filter looks bad. Its easy to see or even cut open the primary to see whats inside it.
If it looks like a lot of trash in the primary filter I say drop the tank, if it looks decently clean I would not drop the tank. I would just replace both filters and use Diesel Klean in the next 5 or so tank fill ups. And then look at the primary after each fill up. Get the clear primary filters and it will make checking their condition a lot easier. Unless you got problems, I would not drop the tank.
And IMHO ATF in the fuel is a waste of time.

The primary filter does look bad, almost like MO, but who knows how long it has been on there. When I bought my 240 it looked like it had MO in it too and I did drop the tank on that because there was gunk in the fuel level sender unit. I will replace the primary filter and keep an eye on it. Is there a certain Diesel Klean you recommend? And how much in each tank? I was in Walmart today and noticed they have several different types.

Thanks!

You don't need the one for Winter Fuel in Florida.

Diesel Kleen is Diesel Kleen. I use the white bottle. also, if your primary is black look into a biocide as it could be Algal growth-

I pictured the one to get in the post above, its the one in the silver bottle for the Diesel Kleen.
Replace the primary filter drive it a few days and see how dirty it gets.
If it gets dirty and looks like the other filter then drop the tank.

I also used a biocide in my tank when I first got my car just to kill any
Critters that might be in there. However my filters were clean.
Here's what I use for a biocide, pay no attention to the stabil diesel fuel conditioner.
It will kill any fungus with ease in your tank, however then you will have a lot of dead gunk
in the tank if it is really bad. And that stuff will clog a filter in a heart beat.

look at wallmart or orilies/MCautoparts for the power service in the white bottle with GREEN letters that says CLEAR DIESEL it's a decent biocide. ignore the recommendations of concentration, and pour in the entire bottle... then fill the tank, and let it settle a few days... burn that tank, and do it again. then follow the recommendations on the bottle.
you'll need 3 bottles of the stuff... and two filters.

Great. Thanks! Do I need two spin on filters too or just the primary?

It is also a good possibility to have the life pump go bad and it to suck engine oil into the injection system...

I'm not sure how these work on the OM602. There's no primer pump

both unfortunately... the first set before you use the cleaner, then after you have used it twice, and added the recommended mix to your main tank on the third fill, install a new set.

The spin on now has less than 100 miles on it so I will keep that one and change the primary before putting in the new injectors and the first tank.

Then I will change them as per you suggestion after the second tank.

Thanks!
