No fuel gelled? 1974 240D with a 1979

New here with my first Merc. She is a 1974 240D with a 1979 motor i was told.
I have had the car for about a week now. Was told there was a few problems, blower motor, no turn signals, and some fuel pump issues that she didn't seem to know about. Just that her mechanic said something. She did drive it to Seattle from Olympia and I drove it around after that and everything seemed fine.
So now I'm sitting here typing this with my Mercy outside not starting...
She has had a couple of issues in the morning after leaving for work not long after departure(blocks). Car would start up fine, I would let her idle for a bit and take off. Then a few blocks later she would stall as if out of gas. So i would crank her over a few times and back to life she would come and off i would go on my 40min commute with no problems. Has done this a couple of times mostly in the morning after starting and after a min everything is fine. This last time not so much...

So I'm guessing it could be the injection pump :/ or since it has been sub freezing here in Seattle and that the diesel could have gelled? Or maybe that it could have gelled lightly and knocked off some crud and now my filter/lines are clogged?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Anthony
