On my driver door post the vertical cloth & foam door seal constantly slides off the lip and prevents the door from closing securely.

What kind of adhesive is good to hold it in place, but will allow removal of the seal someday without resorting to a chisel & hammer?

3M Weather Strip Adhesive. Made to adhere (wait for it) weather strips. Available at any auto paint store and maybe AutoAdvancePep Stores near you.

Yup 3M is the way to go. Not much you cant stick together with that stuff. Just remember to get everything super clean first.
