Can 1st gear downshift point be adjusted?

I seem to have the shifting all where I want it now with one exception. I notice when coming to a stop it will downshift into first just before stopping. On slow rolling turns, tho, it will remain in second until I press the accelerator and presumably the pressure of the bowden cable causes the downshift. Is it possible to adjust the rpm when it downshifts into 1st so that it does so at a little bit higher rpm?

When coming to a stop, the transmission should downshift only to second gear. While stopped, it should be in second gear. (Gear selector in D.)

(Per previous discussion, the subject vehicle is presumed to be a 1982 300TD.)

Yes, this is an '82 300TD. I should have mentioned that.

You may be right about the downshift being to 2nd rather than first. Regardless, if I listen when slowing down I can hear the downshift. If I hit the accelerator after the downshift, it takes off just the way I like it. If I do not slow down quite enough or pay attention enough, then when I hit the accelerator coming out of the turn, it has the delay of the downshift which I do not care for. Whether talking of the downshift to first or the downshift to second, can I adjust the no-pedal downshift point higher?

There should be some sort of adjustment cable to adjust the shift points of the transmission. I forgot what it is called, but it starts with a "B". Bowden cable or something idk I forgot.

The bowden cable adjusts the upshift points but does it adjust the no-pedal downshift points?
