Has anyone purchased a suspension part built by Rein?

I'm guessing that their parts are made in the same Chinese sweatshop as Febi and Meyle, but I had bad luck with a Lemfoerder guide rod mount before and am looking for alternative brands. Thanks

If the Lemforder part failed you, there's no hope. The only way to go up from there is Genuine Mercedes.

It would be funny if the genuine Mercedes Part turned out to be a Lemfoerder.

I purchased a set of outer upper control arm bushings sold by Rein. They arrived in packages "made in China".

However, I have yet to see that particular part sold under any 'good' brand name, anywhere.

I have had parts from Victor Reinz (just edited this, because it is a different company, it seems).

I saw this link on line. Randy Steel used to sell MB parts, but like all independents got cut off by MBUSA. He says REIN is good!

This is the REIN website:
Rein

It appears REIN are now part of CRP. CRP is the company that makes Conti belts and other parts and have been around for a long time.

Just like many of the things we buy, I am sure some REIN parts are made in China. Nothing wrong with that if the QC is maintained.

Germanparts.ca is an offshoot from Precision AP (a euro parts wholesaler that supplies repair shops in Toronto and area). They have an interesting section of their website in which they give their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for parts PLUS the parts they do not sell and why! (Check the Suspension and Steering section Meyle is very much on that list!)

Thanks for the links Graham. I'll try the Rein part when I get a chance this Summer. I'll probably change that Meyle idler arm bushing kit that I put in a couple of years ago too.

For any of you prospective W126 owners out there, owning a spring compressor is about as essential as owning a 13mm wrench.
