Uncovering Wire, Undoing zip ties, and Finding Shorts
So the ECT200 just came and went to work. It has found two areas, but inside the plastic sheathing. Is this still available? Or is there a better replacement?
How about releasing the zip tie without damaging it? I don't see any external damage, so not sure what is going on. Thank you all in advance! ![]()

The plastic factory zip ties can be released by grabbing the tab with needle noose pliers and pulling straight back. This releases the pawl inside the buckle, and allows the tail of the zip tie to be slid out.
The plastic sheathing can be found but there are several alternatives that may prove better in repair work. The easiest thing is the corrugated split tubing. I have seen this at Harbor Freight, home centers, and auto parts stores.

![]() It turned out that I don't need to release the clip as false reading due to proximity. I just had the thought to trace wires and move them away. Fine, will just cut. Good timing as just finished get ting blood sugar up so as not to have issues.
