Questions about Swapping OEM wheels.

There's a '65 Fintail being parted out near me. I'm wondering if the steelies on it would be a close enough fit for my W126 (offset the same?). And if they're skinnier than the bundt pans I have or skinnier than a w123 steelie?

A 65 finback might have 13 inch wheels.

Yes, assuming it still has its original wheels, they will be 13s. And skinny.

Aside from that, they were spec for a car that weighed about 55-60 percent of what a w126 weighs. Finnies were very light compared to later Mercedes.

The finny was maybe about 2800 depending on options, the 126 from 3400 to 3700 depending on options. Some finnys had 14" rims but still pretty narrow probably.

Perhaps worth checking the size, since it might be wearing later wheels.
