Drilled out bolt hole, on block, turned oblong
The challenge: The chain tightener is being replaced; however, the outer bolt hole, closest to the radiator, needed to be drilled out and re threaded. Long story short, the hole tuned oblong, and even chipped off part of the bolt hole side that is parallel to the radiator.
What would be the best course of action, or options at my disposal? At this point I am considering finding someone to weld a bolt into the block, and use a nut to tighten down the chain tightener. As I have little faith in the epoxy they sell at Autozone capable of 4500 psi. I am looking for the best permanent solution short of replacing the entire block. Post #100 btw

Is there enough room/space to drill the hole out big enough to install a "heli-coil"? Also, consider drilling it out a very minor amount and put a heli-coil for a smaller bolt. If that's not an option, I'd try the epoxy before I'd replace the block. If the epoxy doesn't hold, then go to the next step.
