380SEC Rear Seats in a 300SD?

Walking around the pick-n-pull today and saw a '82 380 SEC with rear seats in near pristine condition. They are the style with two seperate lower cushions with an armrest that folds out of the middle of the seat back.

Is this seat a suitable replacement for the standard rear bench in my 1982 300SD?

Looks likethe SEC bottom fits into four posts vs the two on my SD. Hopefully the posts can swap out.

The yard had two 300SDs and a 300D as well. Two of them had the same color interior as mine. Some days just work out well.

A quick search revealed that the brackets are different and that it would require a good amount of modification/fabrication to make it work.

Fyi there was a rarely ordered 4 seat option for the W126

OK Thanks.
When I searched, I only found references to the reclining seats. These aren't recliners, so I thought they might not require modification.

Those are cool looking seats, would be a nice up grade and set your SD above the rest.

Anything can be modified to work and look good. Just takes time, patience and some money. Go for it.
