Is this rebuilder of calipers sat?

Good afternoon, both of my common suppliers have calipers rebuilt by NuGeon who I have not had experience with. Does anyone have any experience using their brake calipers?

From the configuration of the pins and clips on mine, I assume they are Bendix. Will it matter if I install ATE as long as I renew both sides and pads too?

Thanks.
Earl

I assume you are talking about one of your w123s.

Yes the ATE is interchangeable as long as you replace both sides.

i've seen those in the past few years on parts sites. they usually run a little bit more than other rebuilders. they claim to be made in usa and that they go through quality checks. who knows if that is accurate or real though.

Thanks folks. I decided to bite the bullet and get the new ATE calipers... and discs and hoses and pads. I keep telling myself that I will thank myself six or seven years down the road.

Degrease and paint the calipers before install, especially around the piston side. I always plan to do this and never do, and things pretty much instantly rust.

Will last a lot longer with some paint, especially if reman.

I was just looking at your photos on the other site. It looks like your anti rattle spring is wedged between the rotor and the pad.

Yes, well sort of. They are all parts replaced by the PO in the not too distant past in some north California town.

However, the photo was after a good old fashioned scrubbing with a brush and some good detergent and a bucket of water followed by a cleaning with some not so eco-friendly brake cleaner.
