The Glow Plug seals on the shoulder just behind where the tip stick out so the threads have nothing to do with the Sealing and there is supposed to be no Combustion Gasses getting past that Shoulder. If that happens that cavity fills with Carbon and can cause the Glow Plug to seize in the Bore.
There is also not much pressure that is going to push out against the Glow Plug because the Tip stick through the hole and into the Combustion Chamber.

Also neither the Time Sert or the Helicoil are stronger then the Metal that holds them in with the exception that the Steel internal Threads are stronger than the original Aluminum Threads and will resist cross threading better.

I only offered up the Helicoil issue to give People another alternative that is cheaper and more easily available.

I have personally seen Helicoils used to replace stripped Head Bolt threads in Diesel Truck Blocks and they do the same on Gassers. So I know they work on Diesels.
