6 1/2 year report on repainted bundts - '81 300SD

I repainted them about six and a half years ago. They are certainly not as bright and shiny as they were but in fact I have only waxed them twice since that time (and one time was today). Everything said though they still look pretty good. The rear wheels look better than the front. There is a long pictorial of all I did in a very old thread called something like First Class Refinishing of Wheels.

Now if I can just down load the pics.

I made the mistake of letting the tire guys balance the wheels and put weights on the outside before the new paint really cured. That put some bad places on the wheel. The next time I had them balanced with weights on the inside so no more scratches from the weights. Wish I had though of that before.

So pretty happy with the way it has lasted. I have not given the wheels any special treatment at all. Just waxed them today.
