				1979 240D project time

picked up this car from another forum member. Very excited to get it up and running as a replacement summer car. First 123 ive ever owned that isnt really rusted, I keep peering underneath and tearing up. Car has been in a number of small fender benders and has a decent amount of cosmetic repair required. as of right now, non running, with a clutch hydraulic problem. Needs a new master. Specs are 1979 240 4-speed, super basic, manual windows, no sunroof, and a color combo I really like. Not sure what specific colors are, cream over a brownish interior. The car has been custom turbo charged and the pump turned up, so Im very interested to give this a run after years driving a normal 240. some pics!

Ivory/Tobacco. Quite a gorgeous color combo. Was this car a southern car?

You've just got rid of one - why did you get this one?

Who's car was this? I definitely remember seeing it for sale. I have taillights and a front bumper (that I got from you and never installed) if you need them.

Wow, somehow I missed you acquired Purple's ride. Nice save, I am glad this car was saved by you. Now don't get into any more bang ups like Purple did!

Your question is more apropriately phrased in reverse. I got this one and then got rid of the other one. Getting rid of the other one actually spawned two vehicles, this for the summer, and a rusty winter rat. So in conclusion, instead of reducing the number of cars parked on the lawn, ive once again misled the wife and moved sideways like a snake.

I think it was an always garaged northern car. I need to check the maintenance history though, i have pretty detailed records from the POs.

Im going back to the us 5mph bumpers, but there is definitely an accident curse for this car. Im not sure what ceremony yet i will perform to lift the curse. Researching the DMV handbook now. Either way, it seems i need a goat and a wavy dagger of some sort

The RI DMV handbook originally recommended someone from MA, but allows a goat as a suitable stand in. I guess the magic is equally powerful.

Well at least with a goat, afterwards you can have a good meal with it's remains if you eat such animals. With a human not so much....
