Leaking ignition switch?

On an '82 240D: vehicle will not shut off, need to to use the under hood red lever, vacuum test leads to the ignition switch. After vehicle is shut off I can hear a hissing from behind the instrument panel. Is it possible that the switch it self is leaking? Thanks for any input.

Sounds like the vacuum switch is bad. You can try cleaning it.

Be sure the Vacuum Lines go back in the positon you removed them from or it will not function correctly.
