This tube links the exhaust header to the intake manifold. Just a direct connection, no valve or anything I can see..... I am trying to figure out if I can just put a cap on it or screw a plug into the intake.

Has anyone seen this thread or ferrule compression type fitting on a MBZ. ?? I am trying to figure it out before I may mangle the fitting to get it off.

Maybe this is aftermarket or added to "federalize" my euro 300d, it does have fed, signal covers front and back.
