please put them on, and take a lot of pictures, and give your honest opinion on them. I'm about to order all new springs. for my Euro 300TDT.

And my Favorite example a forum members car... I love everything about this car, it's stance, the custom HID headlights, the yellowed out reflectors... absolutely beautiful.

The grey car with the Pentas and the forum member's car are beautiful.

For some reason, I had it in my head that stance could not be done with the SLS in place so I always assumed that those cars had the system removed.

I am very interested to see how yours turns out.

H&R Springs

I finally got the springs installed yesterday and am very happy with the result. The car lowered just the right amount and there is substantially less body roll. The biggest difference in body roll seemed to happen after installing the rear springs. I think my rear springs were very tired. I ended up going with three nub pads in the front and two in the rear. The car now sits even from side to side and I can finally stop kicking myself for missing that Vogtland group buy years ago.

Anyone have experience with tunershop.com? They have them for $262. And they're in the US.

So by spring pads, you're talking about the kind that go on the ends of the spring? Didn't know you could stack them. Which means you didn't like the 30mm advertised lowering of these springs?

H&R Springs

There are three different spring pads available from Mercedes for each end. You can choose the one you want to fine tune the ride height. I wanted the stiffer springs, but did not want the car sitting on the ground or tire interference issues. The front and it was already sitting way too high after swapping in a manual transmission.

I was waiting to hear that one spring was broken, but obviously that wasn't the case. But are the rear springs the same height now that you have them out? the fact the body roll is lessened after the rear springs were replaced does show they must have been weak.
Did you have to adjust the SLS valve after new rear springs?

I need to measure the rear springs now that they are out. I think they were just worn out. I did not make any adjustment to the SLS.

Springs definitely do get weaker over time, as they are under compression the temper of the steel changes. I replaced springs in my '87 because I wanted a lower stance and opted for OE Sportline springs.
Now the ride is a little, well "springy" to me, not a ride I would like on a long road trip, as one's brain tends to get agitated until it feels like jelly.
But taking a corner flat out without leaning is possible and I love to make SUV's trying to keep up with me squeal their tires on curvy roads

The white wagon with the euro plate on the front is what I'm going for. I thought I knew what his user name is, but I can't remember now. Anyone remember? I'd like to find out what he used.
