Folks.

I'm starting this thread in the Diesel Discussion because us dieselheads have the greatest need. We are also the cheapskates. We need to come up with some type of handling transportation of large parts between forum members. One idea I have is to make it like the Craigslist Alert thread. Please do not post to this thread unless you have a Transportation Need or an Offer. If you want to support the idea, go here:

Need is defined as you have "big" Mercedes parts that need to be transported to another forum member. Big would be like a hood, fender, bumper, interior car panels, seats, etc. Something that cannot be shipped for $30 UPS/FedEx ground.

Offer is defined as you are going from Point A to Point B and have some space to carry an item for forum members.

Great idea. They did that on a 60's Mopar forum I frequent, though looks like it died out. BTW, I read that long thin pieces like body trim can be shipped cheaply on Greyhound (ride below), but someone must pickup at the station.
