Oil cooler/lines - which size thread?

Hi all,

I am looking to fit an aftermarket oil cooler as my car has had both oil coolers disabled and the pipes have been simply looped together.

I am still on a quest to get the original oil coolers out to be able to fit new ones in a side mounted location - hopefully I figure out how to soon!

Anyway, I will probably need to get some AN adaptors to run the new coolers, the OEM lines are actually in good condition, however I am tempted to change everything from where they outlet just below the oil filter.

Am I correct that they are an M22x1.5 thread? Are they the same thread on both ends of the hose or just on the end that connects to the oil cooler? Eg if I do decide to run new line (probably AN8 or AN10) from the oil filter end are they also the same size?

Thanks in advance - gradually working on all of the previous owner's bodges!
