help: 300SDL hood latch not closing

Right side of my hood is not closing any more... the latch would not lock on this side. The other side does.
What is wrong? Any cure?
Best, Martin

Look closely at the bump-stops for the hood. I think they can get out of adjustment, and then the hood won't close on one side.

In a word....grease. Most of the finicky problems I've had with the hood latches were cured with grease (not spray silicone). Do the hood hinges while you're at it.

Thanks... grease and all the snake oil didn't help. It was so full of oil and dirt.... I removed the bracket/lock and with a can of brake cleaner I could get it going again.
Now all is back to normal. I put the white lithium grease on.

Martin
