in my 1999 E300 turbo diesel-- the transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd then to 3rd and immediately back to 2nd gear and stays there. I am wondering what part to replace in the transmission. Would it be the control unit--gear recognition? someone advised that it could be a speed sensor, but I can't locate to purchase that part.
