I would also spray the fitting with a good penetrating oil like Kroil or a homemade 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF. I do not recommend anything else, I personally find PB Blaster to be mostly useless.
You want to do this because it is very common for the aluminium threads to have bonded to the hose fitting and strip as they come off. I just went a head and converted my brother's to AN fittings and hose as his hoses were leaking on his 300SD

thanks guys, i picked up the radiator, like said above wont fit with my oil cooler, gonna get the 300d one see if it will fit

thanks w123fan, they broke free on my SD and the donor 300d, i have succesfuly swapped the 300D radiator, and Oil cooler to my 300SD
NOTE: the 300d shroud didnt fit, my SD shroud fit the D radiator and cleared everything in the engine, the d wouldnt clear trough. all hoses and everything matches up, trans, water, oil etc. Shes fired up in the driveway for about half an hour now, running great., test her in a little bit thanks for all your help peach parts family, i really appreciate your help in my new found love w126 |
