I picked up this 81' 300TD in late March as a parts car for my 85' wagon. It has not been driven since 1992, and was parked inside a dry garage for the past 24 years. I needed a rear window, as well as a mess of interior parts, so this was the perfect parts car for me. I willingly gave $500 for it, once I saw the condition of the interior! A true 9.95 out of 10! Plus with only 84k miles on it, the drive train is in excellent condition. The body was just too rusted to be repaired, so only the hood was worth saving, but I ended up saving just about everything else! Took what was left to the scrap yard and raked in a whopping $44.80 for what was left! I have a bunch of parts for sale and they can be found here.

Too bad the transmission wont work for your car... save it for someone with an SD though...

Did the trailing arms look ok? Or did you scrap them also?

I can't decide if my favorite pic is the one in your driveway with the Mog pulling the TD shell or the one of the shell in the air in the claws of that scrap machine.

Just a little bit of rust on the one trailing arm!!
 Might be the reason it was parked, would not pass NYS inspection. There is a hole in the top where the spring sits. Must have filled the arm with water causing all of the rust.
