I've got a good friends 98 E300 in the shop. It is currently at 316k miles. Car has been properly maintained but right now it is trying to eat my lunch.
Low boost with a fault code for wastegate solenoid valve (tried one off my car, no change) and fuel shut off valve. The engine revs slightly right before it shuts down when you turn the key off although the shut off valve is a new MB part. I've smoke tested it, tested the wastegate solenoid valve for proper operation and ensured that the actuator works and holds vacuum and is not frozen up. I'll hook the Autel system to it tomorrow and delve a little further into it over the next few days. I may even pull the turbo to inspect it good sometime this week. Oh yea, I've got plenty of vacuum to the wastegate actuator solenoid valve and the hose at the pressure switch is hooked up.
Any thoughts?
