Roof cargo Box-
Hello everyone,
Super excited to pick up a roof box this weekend, yakima space saver 7.5ft length for my 300TD. I will post pics with it attached! Has anyone had any problems at highway speed with these, or any tips to make usability easier? I have yakima roof racks the old style, looking forward to carrying more stuff and making room in the cabin while on long trips.

Just make sure everything is tightly secured! Post pics when you have it.

I use my yakima roof rack to load lumber for home projects all the time on my 300cd ,the pipe wall they use is well over engineered for weight .I can guess up to 500lbs at one time ,enough that the cars shocks were being tested. The actual roof luggage carrier will be fine ,google accident images with luggage carriers for inspiring your check list as you tighten yeh olde bolts before trips .

I have a soft carrier. Used it on a road trip and was nice being able to load up the back and the roof with cargo. Didn't notice any difference on handling, but then on the way back transported an '85 automatic transmission. Around town to me only make sense if carrying a lot of stuff didn't want the dog to inadvertently crush.
