I need to cut down my front springs on my 300TD since putting on the BBS wheels with 225/45R16 tires. So called up on this car on Craig's list and they were not willing to pull the front springs, they just wanted the car out of there. So I went to look at it, and the owner just happened to be a the garage where it was parked. He said he pulled what he needed off of the car to fix his 240D after hitting a deer. Said he really needed a good set of seats that had good springs in it. Said I would make a swap of good seats for what was left of the car. So I picked it up on Tues. and was surprised on how nice it was! It is a 1985 300D and has a new complete factory exhaust system, new rear brake calipers, rotors, pads and flex lines, and new alternator. New axles that have been converted over to the bolt in CV joints. Plus it runs like a champ and shifts fine. It was on the road just a few months ago, but was parted out when the driver's side front suspension bent in due to rust in the shock tower. Here are a few photos of it the way I got it, and a video of it running.
