Bilstein or Stabilus Steering Damper for 1984 300DT?

We've all come to know and trust the Bilstein brand name; that said has anyone had any experience with Stabilus steering dampers? Was it a good experience and if so, why?

Stabilus is OEM for the steering damper. I have a Meyle one on my 190E Sportline that's been fine as well. It was the only suspension/steering wear component besides the springs that I didn't change when I rebuilt the suspension on that car last winter cause the suspension was rebuilt with all URO quality stuff before I go the car.
