m642 oil leaks
Hello forum members and techs. 2013 w166, m642.826 oil leaks. How many turbo's are leaking as well as oil feed seal at turbo and oil cooler leaking. these engines seem to have incredible blow by at various seals and oil cap. I do not have access to TSBs at the shop I am at. what a mess. they all eventually fail, just wanted opinions on what you see most. Thanks.

There are two main sources of leaks on the OM642.
The easy one is the big orange ring on the turbo air inlet, or the crank breather and PCV valve going into the side of the air horn on the turbo inlet. Either of these can cause blow by oil to leak and drip under the car. It is easy to tell if it is blow by or pure oil, the blow by will dry hard and sticky. However if you are dripping actual engine oil, then it's time for...A journey into the the infamous Om642 oil cooler leak!

Do you feel the amount of blow by you are having is normal or abnromal?
