Coolant Pressurizer
Hi All,
I bought a coolant pressurizer on Amazon.com that claimed to have a Mercedes adapter and was reasonably priced. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018K9K2U0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Of course, when I try to connect it to my Mercedes 300D, nothing will fit. What do you guys have to test coolant pressure? It looks like there are separate adapters like this one, but I have no idea whether it is compatible with my Mercedes or this kit. https://www.amazon.com/Assenmacher-Specialty-Tools-0349-Mercedes/dp/B00063Y3OK/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481308290&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=mercedes+coolant+pressure+tester Thanks, Dkr. |

I borrow this kind - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0002SRGWU/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1481415313 from Autpzone. Doesn't work on newer cars with itty bitty pressure caps.

That's good to know. I ended up building my own pressurizer. I will start a thread on it tomorrow with pics. It should work on any Mercedes and the concept should carry over to a bunch of other vehicles.
The one I bought also had an internal leak so it is junk at this point. Dkr. |
