Simple question OM602 rack position sensor

I've traced down a random idle surge to a broken wire in the rack position sensor harness. I need to remove the connector from the sensor, so that I can locate the break. My simple problem is that I'm not sure if it lifts straight out or twists. Anyone know?

It's a bayonet lock. Give a quarter turn to the collar (that stays with the IP) then pull off the connector. All of mine were stuck so I popped open the connector top and removed the wires when the IP had to come off.

That plug can be a serious pain to get off. After turning 1/4 turn to release the plug, wiggle on it while pulling. It can take some real effort depending on how stuck it is.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
