Glad you got it out!

If i know a bolt is going to be tough I always use a six point socket even if I have to go buy one.

She runs like a top now! Cleaned intake EGR and manifold (3 day process to get the soot out), did Kartek's EGR delete, new vacuum hoses all around, new breather tubes.. No codes, plenty of boost and the cleanest air this old girl has breathed in years!

Looks great, glad you sorted it. The red "rack of ribs" adds a nice touch.

I noticed that your transmission dipstick cover is missing. Until you can get a replacement, take a piece cut from a plastic bag and a zip tie to seal it off.

Any particle of dirt in the transmission can do serious damage.

If you don't know when the transmission fluid was last changed, I would recommend doing it ASAP.

Excellent advice! I bought a dip stick for it when I bought it, but didn't think about the cap.
