Uh, no, not that stupid pal. It was sent through a centrifuge, as well as filtered down to whatever the micron rating is that's popular. It also sat in the sealed jug for several days before pouring and the bottom 2% wasn't poured in. Pretty much as clean as can be.

Again, not adding up.

Obviously not as clean as it could have been. Some types of foods can leave behind high glycerine content and acids in the oil that is very hard to filter out without chemical processing, even then it's always possible to get a bad batch.

If the car was running and driving well before the WVO, and the IP was damaged while running the WVO, there was something about that batch that was not injection-pump friendly. There could have even been some sort of chemical reaction between something in the WVO and any residual diesel left in the fuel system, or the viscosity of the WVO being high enough that the IP starved for lubrication. Hard to tell...

Just going to chime in, I own 4 diesels in total, 2 mercedes and 2 12 valve cummins.

all of them use very similar pumps in terms of operation, and one of each of mine gets WVO run through them.

My grey car and my one truck both were converted by me, without a kit, just using common sense.

I have run both for a minimum of 20k each on WVO, once taking a 3k mile road trip with less than one tank of diesel in the grey car. My brother drove for probably close to 100k with WVO on one of his cars before rust consumed it.

Now my main tank only ever sees dino-diesel, as the wvo tank, lines, filter and looped return is preheated, and switched to and purged off of with the car at operating temperature.

I've never had any issues with buildup or sticking anything.

If you were running WVO without any preheating, and let it sit overnight, it will set up into a gel like substance, but losing power on the interstate seems less like a gelling issue and more like a contamination issue.

I did get a batch once that had some kind of powdered deep frier cleaner in it, and it would sieze up a gear pump nearly instantly, and there was basically no way to un-sieze it other than completely tearing the pump apart and a lot of brake clean. it acted like a liquid in the tote but under any pressure turned to a very hard solid, like the stuff they used in the cash for clunkers disaster.

If it was WVO related, I'd guess contamination, WVO doesn't just become a solid sludge without something severely wrong.
