PNP 50% off i found a 1987 e300td only thing taken was alternator. Im having some head problems again 80k since last head gasket replacement other one lasted 95 k.km A rework of the head would run $1k includes filling in where electrolisis ate some rather large holes redeck it new guides and regrind seats and valves etc.

I am thinking of grabbing the 603 engine with all acessories except alternator. Take the transmission cross member and drive shaft to the diff. All in $500. Would i need the drive line? Any thing else needed to put it in my 124?

The car looks good 7 outta 10 no rust several injectors on top are wet and an inline electricfuel pump was installed. 286 k km not really sure why its in the yard. Think its worth the effort?
