Ok, went on a drive around town last night, and all was well for about 20 minutes, then the abs light came on, and the ac stopped cooling.

I know this car is equipped with a compressor speed sensor, so this could be a clue to why the belt shredded, or damage from the shredded belt.

Either way... it is adding to the list of stuff to work on for this car.
Ugh.

To top it off, my work van differential went out, my main work van hasn't been repaired yet, my backup truck has no ac, and the key is stuck, my replacement truck is not starting, and my suburban ac is out...

I have plenty of time to work on them now too...

Check the OVP relay, that happened to me a few months ago, the fuse had worked loose. The clips holding the fuse in may have lost their temper so maybe time for a new OVP.

OVP x2

If the OVP dies (or maybe it did its job if the alternator is overcharging!), the ABS light comes on, the A/C dies, and so does the tach. The EDS computer is fed by the OVP, so idle will be lower and the KLIMA relay will kick off the A/C.

If the alternator died or the belt got tossed, all the idiot lights should have come on like they do in pre-glow.
