OM603 Head Upgrade
AGA of Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena, ask for Victor .
That sucker is HEAVY ! . I took the one off the car in the junkyard but had Victor install it in my Brother's '87 300SDL . You really should replace all the cam followers with new from Mercedes, not terribly $pendy and yes, you can use new followers on an old cam as long as the lobes aren't ground up . Let us know how it goes .

Tanks for the information. Do you know a machine shop that can work on a 603 head ? I know a local shop in Rialto but he doesn't have the tools to remove the prechambers

You shouldn't resurface an om603 head unless its far out of spec at which point you should probably look for another head.

OM603 Head Works
I assume you're wanting to have the valves done and the guides replaced long with new valve stem seals ? .
I used Metric Motors in North Hollywood, they're Russians who understand that success comes in cans, not in cannots . Remember to order the correct valve guide oil seals first from The Classic Center else you'll get whatever cheapo ones the Machine Shop has on hand ! . Victor also has a local place he uses .
