EGR clogging your intake? SOLUTION!
About a week ago me and one of my friends were inspecting the turbo on my 83 300SD and found that some of the compressor blades were out of alignment and chipped. I pulled the entire intake/ turbo assy off of my 80 300SD (non EGR) and put it all into a parts washer and swapped them out - What a difference!!! seems a lot better off the line now, we are just wating for the boost controler to show up.... If you havent already I'd suggest disconnecting the EGR on your car and cleaning the intake pipe and head!!

I've been getting recs to do this as well... Are you sure it won't cause a problem?

It has caused no problem at all so far - direct bolt up no mods. Since then fuel consumption has decreased and power has increased - seems like a good deal to me!
