Standard height of 1987 300D?s

Does anyone know what the standard height off the ground a 1987 300D is supposed to ride? I just put new shocks on the front to try and fix the problem, but still if i hit a turn to fast or too big of a dip in the road, my tires rub. Im leaning towards the idea that my springs may be shot, but still unsure. I think they may be original and the car has 451k miles on it. suggestions? its really starting to get annoying when i rub. im constantly trying to avoid it...
