05 CDI

Well finally a 05 CDI was offered for sale in my city those are rare and only show up every 3 to 4 years so when this one became available I knew I wanted to experience driving it. Such a sweet and powerful car and its the basic model but cosmetically showes some scratches and curb rash on the rims. A further look over indicates no black death, extensive maintenance records from the one owner and most of the miles put on in the last 6 years after his retirement 225k kilometers. Only major issue was the serpentine belt, tensioner, thermostat, coolant etc 5 years ago. It also has new brake pads and rotors but does need a new battery as indicated by scanning all the systems. It took me 3 hours to crawl around the car he had a floor jack and stands and during this time 2 other parties came to look at it and he also had 2 other phone calls. So this weekend I will be picking up my new car and can't wait to get behind the wheel again.

Nice. Doing a pre buy scan I see as really important on these cars.

Congratulations! There are two batteries on the car, the AUX under the hood, under the air filter and the main one in the trunk. Here is a good discussion of batteries:
