When I had my first w124 it had worn shocks and lots of sloppy bushes.
The tyres went out of ‘round’ long before they wore out, when moving slowly in traffic you could feel the car slightly move around and rise up and down gently.
In my case rotating would have helped lessen the impact.
But yes due to bad suspension its wise to rotate, next time anyone has handling issues jack car up and spin wheel with a block or brick placed close to tyres tread and observe gap as it rotates.

Previously every oil change.
Bought my last tires from Costco however, so now I let them do it every 5 or 8k.

We have a Cost co, good reports too on tyre sales/quality.

The new(ish) thing here is to have mobile tyre fitters. Last 2/3 times have been very good much better than drive in 'specialists' where the car has to go back for re-balancing.

I'm at odds with the kwik-fit advice, much prefer to have good rubber upfront to steer around rather than worry about tail overtaking, anyhoo they are basically saying don't rotate tyres at all which i definitely do not agree with -

The roads here are built for high speed, most small 'b' roads are 60 mph with larger 'A' roads 70 mph, however these are not like motorways but peppered with roundabouts - we must have the highest concentration of brake dust in the UK not to mention scrubbed tyres, this is the main reason for rotating front to back at least in my case.

I rotate when I switch between summer/winter wheels each time....roughly 6-8k miles is what that works out to between rotations.

I rotate. One article I read was not to rotate. The idea was that if you had suspension problems at one of the wheels, you might no notice it by rotating. I do rotate on my '98 Jeep Cherokee. The front tires get choppy. Suppose to be how the transmission unlocks. So, it get rotated every 5K.

Bingo. At $200+ per tire you bet I'm rotating them

Forgot to do it on the 00 Cummins and shop said the rears weren't smooth (Not exactly cupped) won't balance out. Alignment is good (checked twice/yr because of lifetime alignment necessitated by crappy Dodge that falls apart around beautiful Cummins).

Am back on schedule for balance/rotate. MBZ and Volvo gets it too.

Talking Rotation

Some times, my head spins like a top, does that count ? .

Sadly, the average American doesn't drive well enough to properly utilize / enjoy roundabouts / traffic circles even though they save time and make driving more fun .
