om617.952 no compression after rebuild.

Crank at tdc. Cam marks line up. Number1 piston up, Valves closed on number 1 cylinder.

Where is this picture taken? No compression on all cylinders? We need more info. How did you determine there is no compression, please?

Does the engine sound like it's pulling against compression or feel like it if you pole it over manually? Maybe your compression tester is junk.

You do have the injectors installed? If you do you must have all your valves held open somehow.

I have the injectors out except for the cylinder i am testing. I am testing with glow plug installed. I guess I should do a leak down to see if the valves are leaking. I adjusted them but, perhaps I'm off. I would think I would get some needle movement. This engine is bolted to an ax15 manual transmission. The adaptor plate used a Jeep cherokee starter. It may be spinning over slower with this starter.

Did you grind the valves when you rebuilt the engine or just lap them?

I had the machine shop re gring the valve seats. I installed new valves and lapped them in with a fine compound.
