W124 Electrical Issue
1991 300D. All of a sudden, items on several different circuits stopped working: wiper, front windows, rear windows, sunroof. Perhaps other items I have not noticed. Is there something common to these different circuits that I need to check? Fuses are fine.
Thanks!

Check the convenience control module under left rear seat. This has control of the windows and sunroof.
Wipers are on fuse 2, which is the same fuse that powers the convenience module.

Finally the incentive I needed to replace all those 28 year old fuses!

Yes those old 'bullet' fuses are notorious for looking good but failing at the ends. Had more than a few fall apart in my hand upon removal.

Purchase ceramic and brass fuses from ships chandlers . And take a picture of the fuses in the fuse box ,do this before you pull them out, because some items are not fitted in your car and those fuse holders will not be used .I made a small fuse removal tool .You will find that they will be hard to remove, and also to refit with out one. This makes removal and re fitting easy .

Good idea on the picture, but also look at the factory fuse chart in the lid, and make sure someone did not put the wrong rating fuses in. I found that when I got my W124.
