Foxwell NT510 vs NT520 vs iCarsoft MB-II

Morning all. Does anyone have experience with the the above 3 diagnostics scanners? I have the MaxiDAS DS808 which is used solely in the garage and would like to get something I can carry with me in the car.

I'd be primarily looking to use it on the W210 and W221s with no specific purpose in mind aside from general troubleshooting help.

Thanks in advance.

NT520 vs iCarsoft MB-II - NT520 is far superior than MB-II in that it allows some points to be written to such as adaptation values to be changed. Also quicker to find the fault in my opinion, i have used both but only for maybe 5 hrs a year.

NT520 has option for 38 pin adapter that can talk to W210. Besides codes it can do some coding and actuations.

Icarsoft is not compatible with the W210.

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

Depends on how much money you want to throw at the problem and portability.

Xentry is pretty bulky, my question is, does it "leave no stone unturned"?

I would also hate to have a scan tool with substituted values, it would throw anyone for a loop. Cheaper scan tool have this useless filler or scan tools that are not completely compatible.

Bootleg Xentry is a steal for what it is honestly.

Okay that pretty much answers my question. I see Amazon has the NT-520 with the 38-pin adapter, so I'll go that route.

Thanks for the help on this one!

While portability is what I was looking for with the comparison I originally asked about and the NT520 is on the way...Bootleg Xentry has my interest.

I have the Autel for awhile and it has done everything I've asked it to. However, i'm curious...what is gained with Xentry? And how would I go about getting it. PM or email if you'd like. Thanks in advance.

Make sure it's pre loaded with the Mercedes diagnostic software. Some sellers sell it blank and you have to DL and install it yourself. That doesn't always work

Good luck.

I think you're good. You can add software for up to 6 different brands on the same device.
