I need help to find out the orientation of the second compression ring (2mm) on the piston. It is a bevel ring but should the bevel be facing up or down? There is no mark or dot on the ring. Take a look at the spare piston if you happen to have one.

My scan of an engine manual for the 90/91 602.962 and 603.970 show the bevel upwards. A scan of a manual for the .931 .942 and .972, and a scan of a general OM600 manual, don't indicate anything other than to have the gaps at 120deg to each other.

Edit: Come to think of it... I have several new OM60x pistons stashed away, I'll have to dig them out of storage and take a picture tomorrow.
