Hit a curb hard, what's the extent of my damage?
This actually happened 4 months ago to my E300, and the car has been sitting ever since.
I looked at the suspension yesterday but didn't see anything bent. I know something is bent because it derives horrible now. The steering feels very weird and loose. Maybe it's best to take it to a honest shop with an alignment lift and have them assess the damage? Will they hold my car if they think "it's too dangerous to drive". I want to repair whatever is wrong but I don't want run through and entire corner of suspension unless I really have too.

You asked a question and answered it yourself correctly. Good Luck!

Stand at the front of the car and sight along the edge. You will be able to see if the rear wheels or front wheels are angling the wrong way. Both front and rear should exhibit a little negative camber, meaning top of wheel is tucked toward the car. They should appear very parallel to the centerline of the car front to back. If that all looks good then you may have something broken, such as a sway bar link in the rear. YOu can also jack up the car and try to wiggle each wheel. There should be zero play in them.

One of the rear wheels are cocked, it's the rear left I believe.
Once the keys come in Friday, I will drive it to shop so they can check it out

Don’t drink and drive! Lol jk.
Could’ve bent a control arm, or even worse bent suspension mounts on the body. Then it might be scrap time considering the cost to repair.

Probably just a bent rear control arm(s) or hub assembly. With used parts repair can be done pretty reasonably most likely.

Yes we had one bent on my 84 euro when my daughter slid on ice. I believe we also replaced one that was rusty. Its not too bad a job.

When an Escort is broken, the common sense thing to do is to toss it into the recycle bin.
